Irene was a burlesque dancer back in the day. She was famous for it. Adored. Admired. Men wanted her, men wanted to be her (as did some women I guess). But as she grew old and her looks faded, she had to give it all up and settle for a quiet life in the rural town of Tanglefield.
If you happen to see a six armed insect sitting in a corset applying make up, well, you see Irene for what she really looks like, as most people see a stunning human woman.
I started this piece WAY back in 2014 and have finally got round to finishing it. Its a part of a series of pieces I'm slowly cobbling together under the title of "A Town Called Tanglefield," where many of the inhabitants are not as them seem.
