Having never really used Figma before (lifelong Adobe user here), I wanted to challenge myself to see how flexible it was as a program for creating different visual styles for UI. I know Figma was initially set out to be used as a prototyping tool for wireframes, but it has since been more positioned to be a suite of applications.
So, for me little test, I made a generic settings panel wireframe and set about replicating a number of different games' styles over the top of the wireframe. This exercise wasn’t just about changing colors or buttons; it was about making sure each style was as close as possible to its original source.
If anything, this is a peek into how I am able to replicate a style when working in Figma and how many different styles I could achieve in the space of a day.
