Description: The vast forces of the Underworld have seen that the human race is vulnerable and in a weakened state at the end of WW2. They sieze their opportunity and launch a full scale invasion of Earth and send their Armada through a dimensional rift. The world has to quickly unite and take on Hell's Fleet, in Brimstone Skies.
Brief: Carry out conceptual design work for a number of fighter jets that represent war machines from Hell, create a number of fighter planes that are inspired by WW2 planes and create logos for each faction.

Rough Concept Sketches of some of Hell's Warships and fighter interceptors, and some side on views of Allied inspired airplanes.

The game idea is centered around dog fights between Earth's Allied Forces and the organic war machines of Hell's Fleet. Here, an assualt on a Battle Cruiser is lead by 2 fighter class "Marauders" and, in the distance, the enemy releases it's flying hordes.

A fighter Class Marauder, with wing mounted guns on the wings and nose. Also, in the center of the body, a back facing gun is mounted. Designed to withstand more impacts, the heavier armor means it is less nimble.
Light Attack, Trojan Interceptor. Designed to be fast, nimble and take on the quicker of Hell's winged forces.
The Moth Wing is Hell's answer to the interceptor class and was seemingly designed to out manoeuvre Earth's heavier fighters and guns.
Medium Attack class, known as the Muscle Figher. It has relatively good speed and maneuverability, but lacks sofisticated fire power. It seems to have only one weapon that is its body. This organic machine is, essencially, a flying canon.
The Jaw Bone Bomber. These monsters have no defences of their own and are often accompanied by many Moth Wing Interceptors, but this pay off means that they have one Hell of a pay load. The bombs they drop can be either engergy based, of chemical, making it very important that they be destroyed before they drop their cargo.

Battle Cruiser class. These huge creations are carriers of the other airborne horrors and, like the Jaw Bones, carry some serious payloads. Two massive, side mounted cannons and hundreds of Moth Wing Interceptors protect these hulking beasts and pose a real threat to mankind. The only sure fire way of destroying these things quickly is to fly into the open mouth, shoot the energy heart within and fly out before it explodes. Luckily, its big enough for both the Trojan Interceptor and Marauder to swing their wings in, but as soon as you enter the threshold, the Moth Wings are all over you. |
