Daily Doodle 0010 Sea Horse

Today, I felt like drawing a sea horse, so I did. Created with the usual acrylic paint and ink pen, this sea horse isn't quite true to life, as in, its lovely flowing hair is something I chose to add. Real sea horses don't have a mane, or some don't anyway... I'm not really sure, I should have researched it better.

Some Recent Work

Sadly, due to signing Non-Disclosure Agreements, I rarely am able to show commissioned work and this is especially true of the computer game designs I have finished recently. It is one of those industry norms and it’s the reason so many illustrators who go into computer game design ‘disappear’ for a while. But, every so often, I am allowed to release commissions and today I got the go ahead to show some CD design work I under took back in February.

Music of Ghouls

I love to design CD covers for musicians. I love the format and really love that I get to listen to some new music that hasn’t been released yet. Late last year, I did some promotion material and a CD cover for a cool and interesting guy called Juergen Reiter. He has a dark edge to his music that I instantly warmed to and he wanted me to do the cover for his “Music of Ghouls” album.

10 Tips to be a better Artist

Several years ago now, I wrote a 10 tips article and posted it up on a few forums and on a website or two. Since then, I have been mentioned in a magazine about it, I have spoken to students in a school near me, about them the tips have been reposted around the web in people's blogs and personal sites and also, the tips still remain a good starting point for if I get stuck with my own work.

I don't remember when I first worte them but I wanted to take another look at them, update and add to them, and post them up here on my new blog, for everyone to enjoy and read.
